Discussion:
[mongodb-dev] mongo-tools for Debian stretch arm64

I found that mongo-tools are not included in Debian stretch repository for
the arm64 platform, thus I tried to build myself mongo-tools version 3.2.11
for arm64.
During the build, I realise that version 3.2.11 is incompatible with arm64
for a bug on the library spacelog. So for now, I manually compile version
3.4 of mongo-tools that work also on arm64.
I would know if it is possible to have mongo-tools version 3.4 in the
Debian stretch arm64 repository, and if yes how and when.

Thanks, for the help.

Apologies for the delay in getting back to you.

arm64 support starts on MongoDB 3.4, so the absence of packages for our 3.2
repositories (https://repo.mongodb.org) is expected.

In addition, Debian stretch support start on MongoDB 3.6, and we currently
have no plans to back port support to MongoDB 3.4. I'd recommend you
consider upgrading to MongoDB 3.6 or 4.0 even; if you'd like to ask for a
3.4 backport feel free to open a ticket in the SERVER project in
https://jira.mongodb.org -- but given 3.4 is +18mo old at this point and
all the cool new features in recent versions 3.6/4.0 are much more
attractive if you can upgrade.

Regards,
Ramón.
